Summer is almost here! Events will be popping up all over the City but check below for some great free music festivals and a list of a variety of food fests from all over the city that will meet the tastes of any Chicago visitor!

CHICAGO BLUES FESTIVAL

MILLENNIUM PARK (Loop)
The Chicago Blues Festival is the largest free blues festival in the world. Over three days and on five stages, more than 500,000 blues fans and a line up of renowned musicians prove that Chicago is indeed the “Blues Capital of the World.”
GRANT PARK MUSIC FESTIVAL

JAY PRITZKER PAVILION, MILLENNIUM PARK
The nation’s only free, outdoor classical music series of its kind. Grammy-nominated Grant Park Orchestra and special guest performers and conductors, bring the sounds of Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and more to Millennium Park.
CHICAGO JAZZ FESTIVAL

CHICAGO CULTURAL CTR. / MILLENNIUM PARK (Loop)
The festival promotes awareness and appreciation for all forms of jazz through free live musical performances at two stunning downtown venues.

The 9th annual Mole de Mayo festival in Chicago’s historic Pilsen neighborhood features mole, pitting local chefs and restaurants against one another to discover whose version of the Mexican staple is the best.

The 63rd annual Ginza Holiday Festival celebrates all things Japanese with delicious food and spectacular cultural arts performances, including Japanese Folk dance and Taiko drumming.

The fabulous frankfurter is celebrated at this annual event, sponsored by and hosted at the Chicago History Museum.
